Descendants of Pierre Lys
This tree was added to the site in 2014 and reviewed in 2019 and again in 2025, by Mike Bisson. He identified a problem with dates and names at the top of the tree, because the St Helier register shows the birth of Jacques in 1714, son of Jacques and Marie Roussel (not Rousset as previously shown here). The previously listed son at generation 3, Jean, fitted with the dates for his father and grandparents, but the St Helier register shows two earlier siblings, now included in the tree, making the dates at generations 1 and 2 not impossible, but unlikely. Further research is being undertaken
The central portion of the tree relates to the family in India, for which no primary records are available to us

Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.
