Although the submitted tree shows Bartholomew Wakeman marrying Jeanne Bacon in Jersey, we have found no record of this marriage. The fact that four of their children were baptised on 3 July 1810 suggests that they had been born some time earlier, brought to the island by their parents and were baptised together in St Martin. Three further children were baptised on the same day in 1816. Did the family move away from Jersey and then return?
