Quite a rare survivor of a single-storey dwelling of this period. This cluster of buildings is shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.
The house has likely 17th century origins, re-fronted in the early 18th century.
John McCormack Channel Island Houses describes it as an excellent example of a Sark-type house. The associated farm buildings, set around a yard to the south, are 18-19th century. The property was restored circa 2004-05.
Restored 17th century stone corbelled fireplaces, pine beaded beams in the ground floor rooms, and wood window lintels (some believed to be re-used ships timbers). Historic roof trusses survive and there are small 'vent' openings through the attic gable walls - now used as a little window on the west wall and left as a feature on the east wall.
