Greve de Lecq Hotel

Perhaps not quite as famous as Pooley's Grand Pavilion Hotel, which stood across the road, Greve de Lecq Hotel was nevertheless a very popular establishment in the late 19th century and into the 20th, both as a hotel and for its restaurant

Jerripedia does not always include accents on French words, English keyboards and the web itself not being particularly accent-friendly, but when we do, we make every effort to use the right ones. Unlike the sign writer who managed to surmount the 'e' in Greve de Lecq with a circumflex (ê), rather than a grave (è) accent. Strictly speaking there is no need for an accent on the hotel sign because the French rule is not to use accents on capital letters
