From the old English hereot this was a Medieval nickname for a fast runner

Family album

Ronald Cyril Hart (1921-1997), son of Cyril and Dora, married Barbara Le Lievre, whom he met after she was evacuated from Jersey before the Occupation. They moved to Jersey where their younger son Peter Timothy was born in 1951. Ronald Hart was a Squadron Leader commanding a parachute regiment and joined the Overseas Trading Corporation in Jersey, rising to managing director before he retired in 1980. He was a keen footballer and played for Jersey in two Muratti finals
