Highlands Hotel

Highlands Hotel, which stands in an imposing position above the cliffs at Corbiere, was built in the 1890s, although there was probably an inn or hotel in the same position before that

Highlands had the distinction for some years of being the only one of the islands's 2nd Register hotels not to serve alcoholic drinks, but in later years it operated as a normally licensed hotel.
However, in 2019 the 56-bedroom hotel closed for good and, although it was offered for sale in 2020, it does not appear to be on the market any longer (2022) and there is no likelihood that it will reopen.
