Honfleur at Granville

A vessel destined mainly for the Channel Islands-France service, the Honfleur, built for the London and South Western Railway by Aitken and Mansel in 1873, was of 429 tons. She was a single screw steamer

Honfleur at St Malo

Honfleur commenced running the same year from Southampton, but her normal run was Jersey to Granville with the mail. She was sold in 1911, having been commanded for many years by the well-known Captain Frank Allix.

She spent two or three months every year based in Jersey to provide cover for the regular ships' overhauls. Between 1890 and 1896 she replaced the Griffin on the Jersey station for the Granville service, and was then replaced by the Victoria.
