Early records
The name Jehan appears in the Extente of 1331
The family was present in Jersey from the mid-16th century until the early 18th. In the 17th century some family members moved to Guernsey, where the name can be found in the Rough Index to the Le Mesurier Family as early as 1512. The name died out in Jersey early in the 18th century but was reintroduced in the early 19th when descendants moved back from Guernsey. Later in the 19th century unrelated Le Jehan family members moved to Jersey from Brittany, but they seem almost exclusively to have used the variant Jehan.

Blanche Marie Josephine Jehan, born in Plancoet, Cotes d'Armor in 1890, married Pierre Marie Jean Baptiste Gosselin (1885-1956). They had three daughters and three sons, born in St Clement and Grouville between 1911 and 1924
