Neither of these stones is included in the datestone register and they have not yet been deciphered. It is unusual to have a stone with just one set of initials and entwined hearts. The letter spacing suggests that the initials may be IL for the husband and R for the wife

A rural house of early origins, retaining historic character including a 17th century stone façade. John McCormack Channel Island Houses dates the earliest phase of the building to the 16th century, the house upgraded around 1686. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.
Four-bay, two-storey house. Slate roof with 19th century brick chimneys (roof pitch raised). Chamfered window surrounds of 17th century pattern. Entrance door in second bay with chamfered stone surround. By west entrance is granite gatepost with carved datestone .
