Families associated with the property

  • Aspinall: In 1901 farmer James Aspinall (1833- ) and his wife Elizabeth (1832- ) were living here
  • Vautier: The property was owned in 1911 by John Robin Vautier (1859- ) who lived there with his wife Lydia Rachel, nee Pepil (1855- ) and daughters Blanche and Clarisse. The family had previously lived at Beech Farm, also in St Peter. John and Lydia had six daughters in total.
John was the son of master mariner and shipowner John Vautier (1830- ) and Matilda, nee Hamon. They were living in St Peter in 1861 and 1871, and then moved to St Aubin's House.
