Relatively unusual survival of single-storey farm group. The farmhouse, with early 17th century origins, retains its proportions and fine stonework. A building is shown on this site on the Richmond Map of 1795.
The outbuildings have been sympathetically incorporated within the group. The house emulates Georgian style but with a continuing local character. It is considered to originate from 1600, being refronted in mid-18th century.
Small farmstead. West gable hard on to road. Cottage with converted outbuildings to east, returning south, connecting with 20th century link to originally detached outbuilding to south east. Late 20th century single storey extension to west.

Described in the 18984 St Mary Treasury as 'a charming single-storey cottage, somewhat damp inside. Well in the garden beneath a trapdoor.'
