Le Coie Hotel

Le Coie Hotel started life on St Saviour's Road close to Woodville Avenue in premises which were once home to Jersey Modern School, and before that, Parlett's Academy

A new hotel was built on the east side of Janvrin Road and it grew to become one of St Helier's largest, accommodating 500 guests in 300 bedrooms. The man behind the growth, from a guest house accommodating no more than 50 after the Occupation was Stanley Verriour.
He eventually sold the hotel to Seymour Hotels in 1972, but it was closed in the 1990s and sold to the States in 1999. The site was used for a large development of States flats.
