  • de Gruchy: Owned when a small farm, from the mid-18th century, by Michel de Gruchy, whose wife was Marie Picot. It was inherited by his son and namesake in 1784, whose own son Philippe de Gruchy sold it in 1803 to his uncle, Elie de Gruchy (1776-1831). The latter married Marie Cabot. They were the parents of Elie Philippe, below, who later moved away to St Lawrence

Videgrain: In 1941 George Peter Videgrain (1913- ) and his wife Marie Louise, nee Connan (1906- ) were living here

  • 18 EPDG ♥ MLM 25 - this stone is not recorded but is known to refer to Elie Philippe de Gruchy (1801-1870) and Marie Le Masurier, his wife. They married in Trinity in 1822 and probably moved in with their aged parents three years later. Elie Philippe--one of three men of this name in the early-to-mid 19th century--was a Farmer and Shoemaker
