Militia and garrison pictures
Over the centuries Jersey has had two main defence forces - the resident garrisons of English troops and the local militia. In 1781 the two forces combined brilliantly to defeat the invading French army at the Battle of Jersey, Here is a selection of pictures from the Jerripedia galleries of militia and garrison troops.
