This photograph from the late 1890s shows No 11 Caledonia place in the centre, two buildings to the left of the statue of Queen Victoria. The sineage shows 'Odams' - 'Guano' and P J Picot. At this time guano, a fertiliser created by bird droppings on Atlantic islands, was being imported in large quantities and dominated the businesses of several merchants with harbourside warehouses

Listed building
A 19th century granite warehouse, reminiscent of past commercial harbour activity and previously connected to the run of warehouses along Commercial Buildings. A long three-storey, two-bay building which faces both on to the Weighbridge and Ordnance Yard, with former loading doors at each level.
