Listed building

Mid-late 19th century property that retains its historic character. Contributes to streetscape as part of the Royal Hotel.

Three-storey, three-bay with attic. Front elevation: Full attic storey with hung slate tiles, dormers with windows. Balustrade along roof line. Stucco with rusticated bands to ground floor, string courses and moulded panels to upper floors. Stone steps to doorway with fluted pilasters and cornice. Ground floor has later frontage with a bay window.

  1. Mr Shaw's 1941 seven-page will (Jersey Archive subscription required) shows that he owned a substantial number of properties in St Helier and other parts of the island
