Listed building

Group value as a terrace group.

Part of Eagle Terrace, which was developed by John Phillips in the late 1840s. Jersey High School opened in September 1933 until the Summer Term 1934.

Mid-terrace, set back. Three-bay, three-storey plus basement. Front elevation: Slate roof, brick chimney. Low parapet behind cornice. Stucco, ashlar effect with "Eagle Terrace" written across Nos 48 and 50. All windows are two-pane timber sash with rounded top corners and horns. Shares three half column door surround with No 50. Columns are Ionic order with dentilled cornice. Door set in panelled reveal, four-panel timber door, overlight. Door number in moulding above the door. Granite steps with iron handrail up to door. Boundary wall rended, granite copings, iron railings and double gates.
