A detailed drawing of the south-west corner of the square in about 1822. There appears to have been some renumbering of the buildings in this area after the construction of the new Public Library, adjoining the Royal Court Building. In this drawing No 5 is identified as being in centre of the row of properties. But see the photograph at the bottom of the page

In this photograph, taken when the building on the right of the row was the Hotel du Calvados, and before the 1885 fire, Susanna Street's business at No 5 has been identified as the building with a dark shopfront immediately to the left of the hotel
