Listed building

An early 19th century property, [1] extended in the late 19th century, retaining some original features and character in a prominent coastal location. Detached, five-bay, two-storey house with later added bay.

Additional westernmost bay forms throughway to the rear with an elliptical brick archway, and a window with brick surround above it. 19th century outbuilding to rear.

Notes and references

  1. This is a standard and typical 18th century Jersey farmhouse, the western gable of which has been extended, judging from the stonework, probably in the 19th century, when the dormer windows were no doubt added. The above effort at dating the house provides a cautionary example of a decision based upon the date of an engraved stone
