This page contains images of the Registrar's indexes of births registered in St Helier from 20 September 1944 to 3 March 1948
Unlike those for the other eleven parishes, these records have not yet been digitised and added to our database, but are presented as images of the pages in the Registrar's index. We hope in due course to be able to find the time and resources to add them individually to the database, which contains Church of England baptism records for the parish for the period 1842 to 1915.
Each page in this section contains an index for two of the Registrar's volumes, usually covering a period of just over a year, but somewhat longer during the Occupation years. The images have been presented at a size which should allow the text to be read on most devices.
Note that each volume is shown in A to Z order, but for each initial letter the entries are in order of the pages on which they appear in the volume; ie in chronological order. Although early registers identified boys and girls, there is no indication of sex in the later volumes.
