Question - so was Edward Thompson Dickson actually Irish or not? And is there any known connection between the Dickson family of Jersey, and the Dixon family of Jersey? Is Dixon a variant of Dickson?

Also, did Edward Thompson actually have 3 wives? There is a marriage record of Edward Thompson Dickson m Elizabeth La Cloche, 1815, and a burial record for Elizabeth La Cloche Mar 1818 (note states "wife of Dickson"). Looks like a he may have been married three times, but perhaps no children from first marriage.
