Talk:Descendants of Lucas Ahier

Very interested in this tree because all the Ahiers are (probably) distant cousins :-)

The only fit I can find in records for the Lucas Ahier in generation 1 is the son of John (Jean) and Susanne, christened 28 Oct 1542 in St Saviour. However this is just conjecture!

I have some problems with information for Jeanne Le Febvre, wife of Jean Ahier in generation 2. In the tree, her birth is given as 1588, daughter of Helier (1563-1621) and Jeanne Baudains (1570- ) There is also a footnote, stating she was the widow of Jacques Betram - this information comes from the marriage register (that can be seen on Ancestry). However, searching back through St Saviour marriages, it looks as though her marriage to Jacques Betram took place on 10 Oct 1599 in St Saviour. When she was 11 years old if born in 1588. Adjusting her birth year to something more "reasonable" then puts a lot of pressure on the birth years of her parents, especially her mother.
