Talk:Descendants of Moyse Le Vavasseur dit Durell
Re. Marie Le Vavasseur dit Durell (1776-1844). What is the source for this Marie LVdD, daughter of Philippe?
There is a St. Helier baptism for a Marie 26/4/1775 to Jean LVdD and Marie Davau (also with siblings Thomas 22/2/1778 & Jeanne 23/8/1782). I believe Francois LVdD will of 1814 mentions Marie LVdD fe Jean et fme Jean Godfray, and Marie LVdD's will of 1844 shows her as wife of Jean Godfray and grandmother of Marie Godfray b 1798 who married Thomas Picot. So this Marie would appear to have lived 1775 to 1844.
Does anyone have a view whether this a different Marie or one and the same?
Re: Philippe Le Vavasseur dit Durell, husband of Ann Jolin, is shown as having died in 1820 on the tree Descendents of Moyse Le Vavasseur dit Durell.
My area of interest is the Jolin family, and I have an English translation copy of the will of Philip Durell, otherwise Philip Le Vavasseur dit Durell, dated 28th August 1786, which was proved in St Helier on 2nd February 1796 and in London on 1st June 1796. After a bequest to the poor of St Helier, everything else was left to his wife Ann Jolin, who was also the executor. I think that this Philippe was the one buried on 17 January 1796 in St Helier, not 1820.
