Early-mid 19th century single-storey cottage, which retains its external historic character and makes a positive contribution to the rural streetscape.
A property at the location is shown on the 1849 Godfray Map. The building is of historical interest as a circa 1840s rural cottage, of the more unusual single-storey form; the five-bay arrangement and faux ashlar rendered finish illustrating the more formal symmetrical style of architecture which was fashionable at the time of construction.
There is a small front garden with boundary wall in rubble granite with brick copings. The cottage sits prominently on a road junction, and adds an interesting historic element to the rural streetscape.
