Families associated with the property

  • Le Huquet
  • L'Amy: In 1901 farmer Paul Pierre L'Amy (1862- ) and his wife Amy, nee Chamberlain (1866- ) were living here. The family also lived at Greencliff COttages nearby. Owned by the Le Huquet family for almost seven decades, in 1915, Greencliff Cottages were bought by Pierre Paul Ferdinand Lamy. Peter’s father had previously purchased land and property in the same area, including Gloria Villa, and Les Champs Farm, as well as purchasing Belval Farm from the Crown. Just as the Le Huquet family before them, the Lamy family became an established fixture in the area for generations. Peter Lamy and his family lived at Gloria Villa, where he farmed the land.
