  1. Mentioned as Constable in the first Livre de Catel, 1524, without indication of parish. His family lived in St Helier and it is assumed that he was Constable of that parish
  2. Not to be confused with his contemporary Johan Nicolle, Seigneur of Longueville and Constable of St Saviour
  3. Became Jurat in 1537. In 1535 he was attacked by Adam Morfeld and other soldiers. The case went before the Pricy Council
  4. Both sworn as Constable on 21 April 1541. The only known example of two men sharing the duties of Constable in the same parish

  50. Family originated in France and not linked to another Jersey family of the same name, also originally from France. Thomas' ancestors included Zacharie (1649- ) and Richard (1660- ) Beat Philippe le Vavasseur dit Durell by 283 votes to 96 in July election. Durell complained that Duhamel was not a principal of the parish because he only paid 4 quartiers rate. The Royal Court ruled that Duhamel was eligible as Constable and swore him into office on 13 October 1812. Sworn in for second term three years later. He was the first St Helier Constable since Mathieu Gosset in 1770 to serve a second term. Jurat in 1838
