Descendants of Abraham Fauvel



This tree, which was added to the site in 2014 and has been cross-checked with church baptism and marriage registers, conflicts with Descendants of Richard Fauvel, which has been on the site since February 2013. The descendants shown here of Matthieu Fauvel (1728- ) are shown in the earlier tree as descended from his brother Charles. And whereas the parents of Charles, Benjamin and their siblings are shown here as Abraham Fauvel and Marie de Rue, the other tree shows them as Abraham’s brother Francois, and Marie Amy. The other tree also has four earlier generations

The tree was further reviewed in 2018 and more details added, but the discrepancies between the two trees have still not been resolved

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
