This tree was added to the site in 2011 and expanded in 2014. It was extensively reviewed in 2021 by Guy Dixon. Details were added in a further review by Mike Bisson in 2025

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.   18. ↑ Sara`s baptismal record has not yet been found. However, she was the eldest surviving daughter of two--the other being Marie, wife of Philippe Collas--mentioned in the partage of the inheritance of their father, Philippe de la Garde and mother, Marie Herault, their elder brother being George de la Garde. Sara and Marie sold their share of the inheritance to their brother George for the price of, in Sara`s case, an annual wheat rente income of 10 quartiers, 4 cabots and 4 sixtonniers. Marie, as the younger sibling, received an annual income of 5 quartiers, 6 cabots: L/C/323/A3/59 (1676), at the Jersey Archive. The de la Garde family was evidently affluent
