In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. For the small number of family names for which a search generates more than 1,500 records you will have to refine your search (perhaps using start or end dates) to reduce the number of records found.

  1. ↑ Arrived in Jersey from St Lo in about 1840
  2. ↑ To Australia 1884. In 1881 he was a coach builder with a staff of 18
  3. ↑ Stoker RN. Served on HMS Victory, HMS Dido and HMS Hecla. A John Henry Barrot died in Manchester in 1919 and this death has been linked here. But, with a son shown born in 1923, that would be impossible. It does appear that the family moved to London around 1918
