This tree was added to the site in 2014 and reviewed in 2019. This resulted in the addition of considerable extra details but also in the repositioning of Jean at generation 5 linked to the earlier tree

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records.   8. ↑ The Philippe Starcq who married Anne Cabot in 1812 is shown also on Descendants of Jean Starck, but he is shown as the son of Elie. That Philippe, born in 1793, died on 15 May 1833, aged 40 years, so a wife of his might feature in early censuses as a widow. Anne, nee Cabot, who died in July 1871, aged about 76, did indeed feature as a widow, living with her daughter Caroline in 1851. The placement on this tree seems dubious
