Descendants of Raulin Becquet
The Becquets of St Peter also owned land in St Brelade. They were probably a branch of the Becquets of that parish. Their property, however, lay near the dip in the present-day Airport runway. Anyone landing or taking off from Jersey Airport will have passed over it. This tree was added to the site in 2021 by Guy Dixon

- ↑ Pierre Becquet, his brother, Jean Becquet, and yet-to-marry sister, Susanne Becquet, divided the inheritance of their late father, Vincent Becquet, on 27th October 1632. Their sister Marie, who died in August, is mentioned, as having inherited previously from her late mother. The partage gives details of the land owned by the family. Pierre received the house, outbuildings and stackyard, the orchard and Clos du Messuage, being the land adjoining the house that was often used as a vegetable garden, the above being 7 ½ vergées, valued at 2 quartiers, 3 cabots and 1 carchonnier (¼ cabot) of wheat; 1½ vergées in La Pièce de L`Hostel Quesnel and rentes, including 1 cabot of wheat annually, part of a larger sum, from their mother`s kinsman, William Le Brun pour l`eschaeste de Marie Becquet, a cause de sa mère. Jean Becquet received Le Clos des Ricards, containing 5 vergées, valued at 15 cabots of wheat; 1 vergée in La Pièce de L`Hostel Quesnel, valued at 2 cabots of wheat; Le Camp des Quesses (of) 50 perques, valued at 2½ cabots of wheat; Le Camp de St Brelade, containing 1½ vergées, valued at 2 cabots of wheat; Le Camp Ferey (of) 25 perques, valued at 1 cabot of wheat; also incoming rentes, including 1 cabot of wheat annually from their mother`s kinsman, William Le Brun “pour ladite eschaeste” and other rentes, some of which were outgoing. The total of land owned by the late Vincent Becquet was 30 vergées and 10 perques. The location of this land is of interest. Le Camp Ferey, or Ferrée, was near the former Pine Farm, which was just north of the old Aero Club site and east of the stream, now marked only by the dip in the airport taxiway and runway; Les Quesses adjoined the former St Peter`s Barracks, on the south-west edge of the airfield; Le Camp de St Brelade will have been at the parish border; Le Camp de L`Eglise presumably lay near St Peter`s Church under the present airfield, to the north of Pine Farm. The other fields are unable to be placed but are likely to have been within this triangular area. The St Peter Becquets` home and land was thus one of three farms demolished in the 1930s to make way for the present airport, in the vicinity of the dip in the runway. The stone from these farms was used as hardcore within this dip which, having had a stream running through it, was damp, marshy, ground, in contrast to the rest of the land in this area, which was dry and sandy: see R.P.9/403 (1632). Pierre Becquet, fils Vincent , sold in 1633, with the consent of his procureurs, Raulin Robin and George Salmon, rentes and 1 ½ vergées of land lying in La Pièce Becquet, in the Fief du Roy, St Brelade. Either Pierre or Pierre Becquet junior, his son, was buried on 14 March 1679/80. The other was buried on 26th October 1681
