In the Occupation Wilfred, a States Deputy and known as Bill, lived here and co-ordinated escapes from the island by young men and women. Also living with him were brother Charles, sister, Clarice, their nephew John Robert Bertram (1923-2005) and Gladys Louise Blampied, nee Vibert (1882- )

Mid-19th century property maintaining some original exterior and interior features. East Lynne, together with the neighbouring Bellair, is significant for the role it played during the German Occupation. The farms became known as the 'Fauvic Embarkation Point' as it was the main place from which Islanders attempted to escape. Three-bay, two-storey detached house with single storey extension/outbuilding on the west side.
