Top of Generation 2 - 2 Nicolas Cabot (1674- ) (Tr) m (1701, Tr) Jeanne Amy (1677-1746) - should be generation 1? Yes there is a problem with the generation numbering as Jean at gen 2 should be gen 3 etc. But after researching this family, I'm afraid the first 3 generations are wrong anyway. From land records, the Jean Cabot b 1701/2 was indeed the son of Nicolas Cabot and Jeanne Lamy or Amy, but he did not marry Elizabeth Bisson. He appears to have married Elizabeth Richardson of St Martin. And Nicolas the father was a son of Jean Cabot, therefore probably the one bapt 1678.
