Historian Ian Ronayne has produced this listing of Jersey men and women, residents and those with strong connections to the island who lost their lives in conflict in the Second World War. It enlarges on the official Roll of Honour produced by a States Committee in 1982, including a significant number of new names.

This includes some names which are included in the official 1982 Roll of Honour, with no supporting information
Born in Jersey, the son of Abraham and Charlotte Eliza, nee Renouf, of Shaugheen, Fauvic Common, Grouville and later of Guernsey. Husband of Gertrude Ogier, of St Peter Port, Guernsey. Both his parents were born in Guernsey and his wife was from London. They had a son, Richard Francis, born in Jersey. Formerly employed by Mr Wakeham and lived at Clos du Paradis, Maufant. Killed at the age of 32 while fighting in Germany, three months before the end of the war. Buried in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery
↑Attended Victoria College between 1896 and 1900, then studied in England before becoming a respected advocate in Jersey. Living in Clarendon Road, St Helier with his wife when Occupation began. Arrested with his son for possessing a map and camera he was sentenced to prison in France by the Germans. Released and returned to Jersey, he was treated as a hero in the island, which led to the Germans deporting him to Biberach internment camp. Suffering from cancer, he was transferred to hospital in Ulm where he died. His remains were transferred back to Jersey for burial in St Saviour's Churchyard.
↑Son of Patrick Francis and Annie O'Hanlon, of Rumney, Cardiff, Wales. Attended Victoria College between 1932 and 1936, and again between 1938 and 1939. Joined the Merchant Navy, then the RAF, serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Killed in a flying accident in Canada. No connection to Jersey other than attendance at Victoria College

Killed when his Halifax bomber was shot down over Germany.
↑The son of Bertie Oliver and Mebel, nee Gribble, of Wallington and married to Bobbie Fulford Brown. Educated at Merchant Taylors, he was a good linguist, a maths prizeman and a member of the school rugby XI. Later an All-England RAF XV. Killed during the German attack on Detling airfield. No ob vious connection to Jersey. Parents and wife English
↑Wife of Matthew Otter, formerly of Baker Brothers, Gorey. She died at Biberach camp and he lost the use of his hands and had difficulty walking.
