Descendants of Drouet Mourant
This tree was added to the site in 2010. It was expanded in 2012 and 2014 and reviewed in 2020. It was subjected to a more extensive review in 2021, when more details were added. The top portion of the tree and the bottom section were reviewed separately and further investigation is still needed. A further review was undertaken in 2022
In the submitted tree Joshua Mourant and Marie Millais at generation 9 were shown to have had three sons named Joshua, one born in 1747, two years before their marriage, one in 1751, who died in the same year, and another born in 1751. The first and third of these are shown to have married and had children and further descendants.
Further research suggests that the Joshua Mourant who married Elizabeth de Rue was the son of Joshua and Marie and was born in 1753, two years after an earlier Joshua who died in infancy. The Joshua who married Marie Dolbel highlighted in red , is possibly the son of Philippe Mourant and Rachel Mourant, born in 1743
Some records appear as Morant but we have standardised on Mourant throughout
