Descendants of Jean Blampied



This tree, supplied by a user and added to the site in 2019, follows a different descendant line from Descendants of Jean Blampied, which starts earlier

A review of the tree in 2020 suggested that Charles at generation 2 may not have been the Charles who married Rachel Blampied. It has been suggested that he married Marie Picot in 1783, and that it was a different Charles, born in Trinity in 1764, the son of Michel and Elizabeth Picot, who was the ancestor of the descendancy shown here.

There are many online trees which support that view, but they may all have been copied from a single source. We have created a separate tree showing the descent of Charles and Marie Picot and continue to investigate which is correct

A further review by Mike Bisson in 2022 did not address this issue, but resulted in the addition of a new descendant line from Jean (1755- ) at generation 2
