  4. ↑ Ibid., see above. His son was called "Jean junr. of Herupe"
  5. ↑ The Marie Gruchy who married on 14/12/1667 Elie Romeril, had an only daughter, Marie Romeril (1671- ), whose godparents were "Jean Gruchy, father of the [child`s] mother and Genette Le Marquand, his wife," which is unambiguous, see above, generation 3. However, there was previously shown on this page, Philippe Luce (St L) as having married in 1669 this Marie Gruchy. The marriage entry for that couple reads that she also, was Marie, daughter of Jean, son of Pierre. It seems that this namesake of Marie Gruchy`s was baptised in St John in 1653. Both girls were "daughter of Jean, son of Pierre" The latter belongs on Descendants of Edouard Gruchy
